Summary

Link pins together into a trip. Lightweight first version — no route views, no web sharing, no cover photos. Those come in Trips Complete (post-2.0).

Trips is free at base tier Free users get 3 trips; Pro users get unlimited (per the Pro tiered model). Sharing trips is a core viral loop — "Check out my Alaska route" is a high-value growth surface. Earlier SCOPE.md §8 listed Trips as Pro; that's resolved. SCOPE.md will be updated to match.

What's in scope

trips table + trip_pins join table (MIGRATION)
Trip creation — name, description, date range
Add / remove / reorder pins within a trip
Trip view — ordered pins displayed on map
Share trip via link (basic — links to the app, not a web page)

Open questions

Pin ordering — manual only? Chronological from check-in dates? Geographic (shortest path)? Start with manual, add smart defaults later.
Trip visibility — follows the R2 Private / Followers / Close Friends model?
Share link format — short URL, deep link, QR code? Aligns with Web Refresh work.
Free cap: 3 trips. Current proposal. Too few? Too many?
